Dr. Charles E. Lamon Old Time Druggist, Passes Away "Fairmount, Ill Sept 30 - Dr. Charles E. Lamon, former practitioner, but for ther last thirty years engaged in the retail drug business in this village, is dead. He passed away Monday, Sept. 29, at 10:30 o'clock following a long illness from a complication of diseases. "Dr. Lamon practiced medicine in Fairmount more than sixty years and for many years was the best known practioner in the section of the county. He was born in the east 82 years ago, but has resided in Fairmount since he was a young man. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs Charles V. Tilton of this village, Mrs. Laura Bird and Miss Mae Lamon of Danville are nieces of the deceased, and Walter Lamon, treasurer of the Danville Branch, National Soldiers Home, is a nephew. "Funeral services for the aged man will be held from the Fairmount Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the interment will be made in the Fairmount Cemetery."
